Chinese New Year Visiting!
Dear girls,
We will be visiting the residents staying in one-room flats in Holland Village on Feb 6 to spread some festive Chinese New Year cheer! Here are the details:
Date: Feb 6 (sat)
Time: 8am - 1130pm
Venue: Gathering & dismissal @ NYPS courtyard
Attire: GB Polo-T + School skirt
Remarks: Ask your parents along! We need at least 10 adult volunteers!
(Please submit consent forms to GB pigeon hole by this sat, Jan 30)
These residents need our support as their monthly household income is below $1500. As many of them are also elderly people, they would also appreciate us spending time with them.
We'll be bringing food from the Food Donation Drive when we go on our visitation, as we did last year. I would like to encourage all of you to save some money this week, so that we can bless these residents with a token ang pow when we visit them. Let's try to save $7 each (that's about $0.50 per day!) so that we can all contribute to the ang pows. I am sure they will really appreciate our small gesture of kindness!
Do check out our previous post on the Food Donation Drive 09 if you would like to remember what it is about. This year, we will not be in charge of manning the collection point, but let's all bring some food items to contribute as well! =)
