We're going to do some planning for recruitment this coming monday, so if you have any groovy ideas on how to get more girls to join us this year, bring them along!

Camp Mawai (Part 1)

Hope you girls had a great time! I surely did have a fun time (though it was a very itchy experience for me. haha.). Share with me your thoughts about the trip by emailing me at lim_lee_chen@nyps.edu.sg so that I can post them on this blog for fellow GB girls to see. :)

List of things to bring for MAWAI CAMP

TO FACILITATE MOVEMENT, PLEASE DO NOT PACK IN TROLLEY BAG BUT PACK IN IN BACK PACK


Your child will be carrying the bag so do not overload with non essentials


List of Things to Bring


1. PASSPORT (at least 6 months of validity)
2. BB/GB Polo shirt (no need for nametag), track/long pants and track shoes (wear it on the reporting day)
3. School-based T-shirts (eg P.E / CCA / House T-shirts – at least 4 pieces)
4. Home Clothes (2 sets -for sleeping)
5. Shorts (at least 4 pairs)
6. Track pants (at least 2 pairs – for night use & activities)
7. Sweater (for night use)
8. Underwear (at least 3 sets)
9. Socks (at least 3 pairs)
10. Track shoes (bring an extra pair for water/muddy activities – no need to wear / bring BB black shoes)
11. Strap sandals / slippers(for use in the campsite)
12. Raincoat
13. Cap (not BB cap)
14. Toiletries (eg shampoo & soap)
15. Toothbrush & Toothpaste
16. Bath towel & face towel (for trekking)
17. Comb
18. Money (Not more than RM$50 for souvenir purchase)
19. Swimming trunks / costume (Compulsory)
20. Own Medicine (eg Vitamin C pills, lozenges, thermometer, inhalant for asthmatic Boys/Girls, fever medicine, antibiotics, etc)
21. Small haversack (for day use & trekking)
22. Plastic bags (at least 3 pieces to store dirty clothes)
23. Water bottle (1.5l & label your name)
24. Torch & Batteries (bring extra batteries)
25. Insect repellent & Mopiko
26. Tissue paper / Wet tissue
27. Spectacles Band (to secure specs during activities)
28. Sunblock (optional)
29. Sleeping bag
30. Notebook & pen

31. REMEMBER TO BRING A GREAT ATTITUDE TO THE CAMP TOO! :)

Campfire this friday & parade this sat

Dear girls,

Are you looking forward to the campfire this friday? I am! =)

Please remember to meet at 5pm at the meeting point on friday.

Come in your GB polo-T + white skirt & school shoes.

Please also remember that there is an overseas camp briefing for your parents this saturday, so remember to invite them along!

Nov 13 Parade

Hi girls,

We're looking forward to seeing all of you back on Nov 13 parade! =)But we have a little surprise for you... Read on!

Please note the following:

1) Uniform Groups COmbined Campfire - Nov 12 (fri)

We will be having a combined campfire with Boys Brigade, Scouts and Brownies on Nov 12 (fri). As such, we will be staying over in school for one night, and continue with parade the next day.

You will be receiving consent forms for this. Please listen out for it in the morning announcement. If you did not get it, please get it from Mdm Faith's table (table 7) from Oct 28 (thurs) onwards.

Don't miss out on the campfire! So please make sure you get the consent form!

2) Overseas trip briefing - Nov 13

There will be an overseas trip briefing during the Nov 13 parade, from 10am - 1045am.

Overseas trip participants, please ensure you attend the briefing so that you will know what to expect. Please invite your parents along too.
