LGT Challenge Instructions

The Girls’ Brigade, Singapore --- LGT CHALLENGE
(Sat, 30 May 2009 @ Botanic Garden)

Meet: 8am, Meeting Point (Bus will leave punctually @ 810am)

Attire: GB T-shirt and school skirt



* Things To Bring :

(a) Personal Thermometer

(b) Notebook for temperature record that girls use in school

(c) Personal drinking water, snack, food

(d) Raincoat/Poncho

(e) Writing materials

(f) Small towel to wipe and refresh, hat and sun block (optional)


- Participants are to be environmentally courteous --- to keep noise level down and respect the use of the Botanic Garden

- Clean Up : Be responsible for own rubbish throughout the event

- No plucking/destroying of flowers and plants

ps- If any of you did not receive my email, drop a note on my table (table 35)with your name and class, and I will email you again. =)

Team Groupings for LGT

As promised, here's the groupings for LGT on 30 May! Find out who your team-mates are! =)

From now till then, your job is to think of creative ways to make a costume out of the recycled materials we have collected. So far, we have: magazines & newspapers, empty mineral bottles & milk bottles, cloths, shredded paper. These are currently kept in the GB cupboard, so remember to bring them along on 30 May!

Do feel free to bring more materials along on the actual day to jazz up your costume. =) We are also very excited because many sporting mummies will be joining us on that day! Thanks for your support!

Parents: Please note that there is a change in transport plans. We'll be meeting up in school before departing for Botanic Gardens by school bus. This is because we foresee parking problems @ Botanic Gdns on that day.

Meeting: 8am @ NYPS mtg pt @ 8am.
Dismissal: 1245pm @ NYPS mtg pt.

*Please be punctual. The school bus will leave @ 810am sharp after our attendance taking.

Parade this saturday

Dear girls,

It's been a long time since we last met and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again! =)

We have a mystery guest this weekend... A new face who will be with us! I shall keep you in suspense, so if you want to find out who it is, be sure to come this saturday! =D

This sat, we will also be brainstorming for ideas for our Low Guat Tin Challenge which will be held on 30 May @ Botanic Gardens, so get ready to churn those creative juices!

Our challenge is to be the best dressed using the 3Rs as our theme! Check out Mam Evelyn's earlier post to find out more about the LGT Challenge!

To get you going, we'll have our own internal competition among the squads this sat. Think about what materials (that can be recycled or reused) will help you design a groovy outfit, and bring it along this sat! Help your squad to win the challenge and win prizes for your team members! Remember to bring your materials! Be creative!

Yes! This is my baby boy no.2!!! His name is Caleb Tay. He was born on 18 April Sat. The last time u gals had parade. He was born that Sat evening at 8:25pm. He weighed 3.3 kg & has a cute dimple on his right cheek. He's waving "Hi" to you all!
