Cheerleading this saturday

Dear cheerleading girls,

If you have missed the announcement to meet this morning, we have an important update for you...

Please note that the cheerleading performance this saturday has to be called off because of logistics and safety issues.

Do not be disappointed though, because you'll definitely get to perform again in school some time. =)

Thank you very much for your commitment to the practices and the effort you have spent in practising!

To celebrate your recent Gold Award, we will have a mini party on our Apr 14 to Kidz Amaze, so be there!

Please note that all cheerleaders need to turn up in your full uniform this saturday as you will be part of the contingent.

Updates to Term 2 schedule

Dear girls & parents,

Here are some updates to the activities you have submitted the e-consent form for. As the activities are planned early on, there may be some unforeseen circumstances that require us to make some adjustments as new information comes in. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Please note that there is no need to resubmit the e-consent form. I will take it that your consent for the activities for each of the activities has not changed unless you inform me in writing via email.

1. Enrolment ceremony this saturday

Change in dismissal timing: We will reach back in school at 130pm instead of 1pm
- Parents who wish to attend the enrolment ceremony are welcome to park in NYPS and take the school bus with us to the venue
- There is a parents' workshop for those who are interested to attend. The topic for the parents' workshop has just been made known:

Title: The future happiness of your child is – Now…
(How do I guide my children in their Educational and Career direction for their future happiness?)
Content:
1. What considerations should I have for guiding my child in their choice of school, programs of study or careers?
2. What can I do as a parent, to support my child (Primary school- and Secondary school- age) in their aspirations?

2. Awards Ceremony on Apr 21 (for P5 girls only)

Change in venue: GB headquarters has decided to change the venue to Singapore Chinese Girls’ School (190 Dunearn Road Singapore 309437) instead of at NYPS as NYPS is not big enough to hold all participating contingents
Change in timing: We will gather in NYPS at 1pm and dismiss from NYPS at 6pm
- P5 girls have the option of not attending the morning parade on Apr 21

3. GB Local Camp

Change in date: The date of the 2D1N local camp will be shifted back 1 week to Jun 1-2 from the previous May 25-26 due to the NY Arts Carnival that is happening on May 26.
- Change in time: The timing of the camp is now from 9am (Jun 1) to 5pm (Jun 2)
- Further details on the programme and camp cost will be made known at a later date

Congratulations!

Dear Parents and Girls,

I'm really super proud to announce that our company, 12th Coy from NYPS is a proud recipient of the Gold award for the Creative Cheer Challenge!

This would not have happen if it is not for the 21 girls who really put in super a lot of effort and sweat (thankfully, no blood) in all the practices and all. You have done us proud again!

Also, really want to thank the two beautiful and talented choreographers, Miss Sarah Choo and Beverly jie jie (too young to be under other salutation) for coming up with all the awesome moves and cheer. Not only that, we need to thank the beautiful mummy and designer, Anne, for all the uniforms, makeup, hairclips and etc.

Not forgetting Mam Sarah, Mam Estee, Mam Fatima and all the rest of the Mams who have put in a lot of effort in selecting the clothes, materials for the girls' cheer uniforms and all the discussion, planning and administrative work to make this happen.

And thank you, Mrs Lee for gracing the event to support the girls.

Last but not least, just want to say a big thank you to all the parents, especially the parents of the girls involved in the Creative Cheer Challenge. Thank you for believing in GB and your children! Thank you for waking up early to send your child to school for GB, cheer practices and competition. Thank you for all the snacks that you had prepared for the girls and the adults. And thank you for helping with the makeup and hair earlier today.

A big thank you to everyone who made today such a cheerful event! :)

PTL!

Here's the video taken using my phone with the help of one of the girls: (Please pardon the blurness, I think is due to dust)

Love,
Mam Faith
