GB is having their flag day on 3 Mar (sat). As a primary school company, we will not be getting donations off the streets, but we will be helping to get donations from your schoolmates on 2 Mar (fri). Please take note of the following details:

I have attached pics of your lovely works of creativity. Look at your "piggy banks". We, maams are very amazed by your works of art and your creativity. =) For those that have yet to bring, please bring them next week =)

I have attached a picture of what we did at yesterday's parade. Some of us made "Made with Love" pizzas both for ourselves as well as the cheer girls who were practising hard for their cheer routines. Wasn't it yummy and fun ?

Total Defence Day Parade on Mon (Feb 13)

Dear girls,

Will be commemorating Total Defence Day this coming monday.

All the uniform group members will be forming up the contingent at the front of the parade.

All GB girls are expected to turn up in your GB Full-Uniform. For our new girls, please come in your GB Polo T-shirt + school skirt.

Please meet Mdm Jac & Mdm Faith at the meeting point at 7am on that day.

ps: If you have class photo-taking on monday, please wear your GB Full-Uniform to school, then bring along a set of full school uniform to change into when it is your class' turn to take the photograph.

The rest of us had a lovely time decorating our "savings bank" and I must say, the m'ams are very impressed with the creativity shown! Keep it up!

For Cheerleading Girls

The competition date is on 17 March. That is exactly 6 weeks away. So we need each and every girl (22 of you) in the Cheer Team to turn up at every session remaining. These are the sessions:

Sat Parades [8:00 am - 10:30 am]

• 11 Feb
• 18 Feb
• 3 Mar

Extra Cheer Practice Times

• Fri 9 Mar [2:00-5:30pm]
• Fri 16 Mar [8:00-12:00noon]
• Sat 17 Mar [8:00-1:00pm] - Competition Day

The cheerleading components:

• Music segment = 2 min and 30 secs (max)
• Cheer segment = 1 min and 15 secs
• So total routine = 3 mins & 45 secs max

Music Segment

• Stunts, pyramids, and dance to music

Cheer Segment

This segment is based on:

• ability to lead the crowd
• bring across the theme [love]
• use of signs, pom-pons, and or stunts/pyramids to lead the crowd
• performed without music - only vocal chords allowed!!!

For the cheer part we need all girls to be involved to be loud!

This will be cheer that we will do:

Our LOVE will be STRONG

Our LOVE shall be HANDS and FEET

That SERVE You in this world

So let us stay TRUE

We will need to think how we can add little bits to it to get the crowds cheering with us! So start thinking of how to lead the crowds with additional words...

Important

1. Cheer girls - Please bring back the Acknowledgement Slip with your parents signature.

2. GB Polo/PE gear for ever parade and practice session.

3. Collection of Mats - If you come before 8am, please go and get the mats and placed it in the spot we had them today. After dismissal from Fall-In, please proceed straight away to to the gym and collect rest of the mats and line them up. Thank you.
