Upcoming events

Dear girls,

Please note the upcoming events as shared during last saturday's parade.

Consent form for the event will be mailed out to parents on Monday, Jul 9. Parents who do not receive the consent form, please email zeng_sufang_jaclyn@nyps.edu.sg

Jul 14 (Sat): Girls' Brigade Friendship Day
Involves: All P3 & P4 girls
Timing: Report @ 8am; Dismissal @ 215pm
Transport: School bus tpt will be provided to and from NYPS
Details: We will be bringing a group of elderly from Lions Befrienders to the Girls Brigade HQ where they will be treated to lunch and performances. Our girls are befrienders and are in charge of serving the elderly on that day.
Attire: Full GB Uniform

** P3/P4 girls who are unable to make it for this event, please indicate on the tagboard by Wednesday, Jul 11)
** P5 girls will report for parade as usual at 8am (If there are any P5 girls who are interested to join in for this event, please indicate on the tagboard by Wednesday, Jul 11. Vacancies are subject to availability. Please check the tagboard on Thursday, Jul 12 to know if you are selected to attend )




Jul 15 (Sun): GB Fortnight Fundraising at Adam Road Presbyterian Centre (ARPC), 25 Adam Road
Involves: Optional event
Timing: Report @ 10am; Dismissal @ 12pm
Transport: Girls are to report directly to ARPC and be dismissed from there as well
Details: Girls get a chance to raise funds from the sponsoring church. Parents are invited to join in as well if you would like to find out more about the sponsoring church.
Attire: Full GB Uniform

Jul 16 (Mon): Girls' Brigade Day
Involves: All GB girls
Timing: Report @ 7am at meeting point (please leave your school bags with your respective classes first)
Details: GB girls will be gathered as a contingent in front of the school for the reading of the GB Day message. Graduating girls, junior leaders & cheerleading competition girls will be receiving their certificates on stage.
Attire: Full GB Uniform

Aug 25 (Sat): GB Outing
Involves: All GB girls
Timing: Report @ 8am; Dismissal at 12pm
Transport: School bus tpt will be provided to and from NYPS
Details: Girls will get the chance to visit a fire station and find out how the Civil Defence works, and perhaps even pick up some CPR skills
Attire: GB Polo-T + White Skirt

Sep 8-9 (Sat-Sun): Fast Food & Fuzz Camp @ GBHQ (795 Upper Serangoon Road)
Involves: 8 selected P5 girls
Timing: Report @ 845am; Dismissal @ 230pm
Transport: Girls are to report directly to GBHQ and be dismissed from there as well
Details: Girls will undergo an experiential learning camp where they learn to fast from their usual comforts and in the process, empathise with the less fortunate in society who may not be as privileged as they are.
Attire: Full GB Uniform
